TitanX Restriction
Titan X will not ship to New York due to state restrictions on imitation firearms under New York General Business Law (GBL) §§ 871–872.
Why New York Blocks the TitanX
Imitation Weapon Definition: Under GBL § 871, any device that looks like a real gun is legally treated as an "imitation weapon" based on its realistic appearance rather than its inability to fire live ammunition.
The Laser Rule: New York law includes a cumulative list of exceptions for imitation weapons, one of which explicitly requires that the device have no attached visible laser. Because the TitanX is an app-connected laser training pistol featuring an integrated laser, it fails to meet this exemption.
Sales and Distribution Ban: GBL § 872 prohibits the specified importing, sale, and distribution of non-compliant imitation weapons within the state.
Company Compliance: Mantis has intentionally restricted checkout and shipping to New York as a cautious legal compliance position while evaluating the statute.
