Our toughest and most versatile mounting arm for the PVS-14. Less than half the weight and significantly more stiff than a Milspec J-Arm, with our proprietary rotating knuckle that provides a tight stow against the helmet and also allows the monocular to be temporarily swung away from the eye: the AX14-PRO delivers a rearward sweep for greater helmet compatibility, multiple anti-rotation features for improved rigidity, reinforced joints with stainless steel washers for smoother movement, and it is also our first maritime-rated arm, with genuine 316 stainless steel and mil spec anodized aluminum hardware. An excellent upgrade for single night vision monocular users, requires a dovetail style helmet mount.

The Noisefighters AX14-PRO™ is a featherweight night vision monocular mounting arm for the PVS-14 and similar devices, produced with cutting edge manufacturing and material technologies. The AX14-PRO weighs only 0.9 oz / 26 g total, or approximately 52% less than a milspec J-Arm, yet it is significantly more rigid due to the unique design. Just attach a monocular, snap the complete assembly into an industry-standard dovetail helmet mount, and enjoy. An intuitive, friction-based mechanism allows users to swing the PVS-14 monocular in front of either the left or right eye and perfectly adjust for interpupillary distance.

The AX14-PRO is the successor to our original X14-Arm and includes a new, desirable feature: a knuckle is integrated into the arm which allows the entire monocular to both swing away from the eye temporarily and, when not in use, tightly stow against the helmet, significantly lessening the chance for damage during movement under doorways or out of vehicles. This knuckle is supplemented with metal washers for smooth and consistent movements. To be clear, the articulating knuckle permits full range of motion and tight stowing on both the left and right side

The mechanism is pretensioned at the factory and should never need to be adjusted, but a simple hex key wrench may be used for adjustment as necessary.

A slight rearward sweep of the inner arm helps position the monocular eyepiece closer to one's eye and provides greater compatibility for those with larger helmets.

Multiple anti-rotation features prevent the monocular from rotating and loosening with vibrations.

The choice of a high performance polymer from Arkema® produces a nearly indestructible monocular mount. The highly impact-resistant material chosen for the AX14-PRO should absorb shocks and bounce back into shape instead of fracturing when dropped, bent, or otherwise stressed.

All hardware is made of genuine, passivated 316 stainless steel and mil spec anodized aluminum for the ultimate in salt water corrosion resistance. The AX14-PRO is truly maritime rated.

A tether (or dummy cord) attachment point is featured on the rear of the AX14-PRO to keep the entire system secure.

A no-questions-asked, transferable lifetime warranty is included. The Noisefighters AX14-PRO is proudly made and assembled in the U.S.A. and was designed by a Marine Corps combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan.

CONSIDERATIONS TO ACCOUNT FOR WHEN USING THIS PRODUCT:

This arm is NOT COMPATIBLE with bayonet-style night vision helmet mounts. You MUST HAVE a dovetail-type night vision helmet mount.

No auto-shutoff system is integrated. Users must manually turn off the monocular when flipping up and stowing equipment on top of the helmet.

    HCC is awesome

So I didn't actually buy an Ax14. I bought the featherweight J-arm. HCC refunded me the difference. The featherweight j-arm is good as gold. When I go to buy more NVG stuff I'm getting it from them.

    AX-14 pro.

The item is a definite plus in ergonomics. If you are running a Willcox or norotos helmet mount that only folds up and down from the helmet it gives you the ability to articulate out the way. As for the flush stow ability, it's an A+++ The only thing and like almost every piece of equipment, you have to get used to it to make it as smooth as possible. The first few times I couldn't get my position right and had to fin adjust. After lossining and tighten the two screws to meet the tension I needed. It was a breeze. Also the fact that it's light weight.. wow you can notice the difference.

    Great J-arm, super fast ship

Love this thing, don't see the need for any other model of dovetail J-arm. Articulation in two places makes this almost a must-have if you appreciate stowing tight to a helmet, appreciate being able to roll the PVS-14 up a bit without going into full stow mode, and it makes it easy to switch eyes and get behind the optic cleanly. The build quality Definitely makes me consider the Panobridge if I ever decide to get another PVS-14. HCC shipped this order super fast, I had it in a few days.

Should be the new standard purchase for PVS14 J arms.

I have had some time using this J arm now and I really do like it over all the other options that have been available in the past. It is much lighter for sure but the big feature is the articulation. Having the ability to stow the device against your helmet vs having it sticking out 5 inches in front of your forehead can make simple tasks so much easier. Getting in and out of cars, walking through doorways, and literally anything else that could bump or snag your PVS14 are simply no longer an issue. For the cost this is the way to go, especially if you are just getting into NV. Just know that there is a bit of a break in period with the material so keep an allen key handy for a while to sung things up every so often until all the joints settle then you are good to go.
